At Coventry Training Consortium we are passionate about you having the opportunity to receive training in a way that suits you and meets your individual learning styles.
Our fully qualified staff have a vast amount of experience and deliver face to face training in a wide range of subjects, with tutor support throughout. We recognise that e-learning does not suit everyone - here at CTC we give space and time for you to ask questions, explore the subject and interact with other delegates; sharing ideas and experiences to help consolidate learning. We provide you with the skills, tools and knowledge to be able to work effectively, professionally and in a person-centred way.
We also work in partnership with other professionals, to deliver specialist courses including epilepsy and dysphagia. Visit ‘our courses’ for details on all the training we provide.
Our training centre has been awarded a Quality Endorsement License (QEL) from Aim qualifications and Assessment Group (previously Open College Network West Midlands) - this means we are an approved training centre.
Our Health and safety and Food safety courses are accredited by The Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH).
Our First Aid and Basic Life Support courses are accredited by Work Safe.

Maria Summers
Manager and Internal Verifier
Maria joined CTC as Manager and Internal Verifier in April 2016. She has worked in Health and Social care since 1985 and has been a registered manager and an Assessor in health and social care.
Maria is a qualified trainer and mental health first aider and is responsible for internal quality assurance and quality improvement at CTC.

Julie Wilcockson
Training in Health and Social Care
Julie has been delivering training in health and social care as well as Moving & Handling at CTC for the past five years, and is responsible for ensuring coursework is marked and completed, ready for quality assurance inspection.
Julie is a fully qualified trainer with a specialism in English for Speakers of Other Languages. She has worked for the NHS and in special needs schools with young people with learning disabilities and autism. She has a particular interest in autism and in promoting a current and positive understanding of Autistic Spectrum Conditions.

Sarah Nicholls
Training Administrator and Co-Trainer
Sarah joined CTC as Training Administrator in July 2019. She has previously worked in the Coventry Library service, and other small charities in Coventry. Sarah has a passion to see people with learning disabilities supported and encouraged to live their lives to the full. She has had the joy of supporting a close family member transition into their own apartment within a supported living service, and witnessed first-hand the difference a person-centred approach can make to someone personally.
Sarah is also an Approved Trainer by Health Education England, and has been working as as a Co-Trainer for CTC, for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism. Sarah has an interest in autism, and disability rights and information. She brings her personal experiences of being a parent carer, managing a care support team, as well as living as an autistic person.
