aria Summers

Maria is the Manager of Coventry Training Consortium.  Maria has worked in health and social care for over 30 years and is a registered Learning Disability Nurse.  Maria has worked as a home manager, a staff training and development manager and as an assessor and IQA of health and social care related qualifications. 

Lyn DowlingLyn - Admin Guru at Coventry Training

Lyn joined CTC in May 2006 as an administrator/trainer following a 34 year career with the Inland Revenue, her last 18 years with the IR being spent as part of their national training team.  She did deliver training but from August 2019 has reduced her hours to Tuesdays and Wednesdays so does all administration duties now. 

Julie Wilcockson

Julie joined CTC in April 2017 as a Trainer and Marker. She has worked as a lecturer delivering English for Speakers of Other Languages and IT as well as working in schools and organisations alongside children and young adults with special educational needs, autism and learning disabilities. 

 

Amanda Higgins

Amanda is a Work Placement Officer at Life Path Trust and joined CTC as a Trainer and Marker in December 2017. She has a Criminal Justice background; working in the Social Care field for around 10 years, providing sessions for Psychosocial Intervention for substance users, offenders and vulnerable women. She has delivered training to Life Path’s citizens as part of her Work Placement role around enterprising and is also trained to deliver Kuf Personality Disorder Awareness. 

Sarah Nicholls

Sarah joined CTC in the Summer of 2019 as an Administrator, after previously working with other small charities and organisations in Coventry that provided support to vulnerable people. She has also more recently worked for the Coventry Library service as a Library and Information Assistant and owned her own business working in the pet care community, helping build a local support network for professional pet carers. Sarah has a passion for seeing people with learning disabilities live a full and independent life, after personally caring for a family member and overseeing a successful and joyful move into their very first home.
