Helping with Health and Safety

 During the early part of 2008 the Consortium were pleased to be workinh with St John Secured Homes.
 To review their compliance with the Health and Safety Regulations an onsite Health and Safety audit of their offices was carried out by the Consortium.

We looked at:-

Policies and Procedures

Fire precautions

First aid

Display Screen Equipment and workstations

Electrical safety

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)

Oersonal Protective Equipment

Contractors and visitors

Cleaning

Smoking at work

Risk assessments

Signage

Checks and records. 

 A complete report of the findings was made together with various recommendations and these were presented to St John Secured Homes.
 For their future use the Consortium developed a tailor made H & S in house training package, including a power point presentation, handouts and checklists, for them to deliver to new staff as part of their induction programme.
