Aims of course:

To give learners an overview of Makaton and to learn basic and key Makaton signs and symbols.  At the end of each session learners will have learnt a range of Makaton signs and symbols which they will practice in their workplace.

Makaton's place in the signing world

Introduction to Makaton signs and symbols

Multi-modal communication

Research support for sign use

Makaton signs and symbols design themes

Teaching procedures
